The Midsummer Music Festival is 100% volunteer-powered! We bring together over 200 volunteers to create the magic and we would love for you to join our team!
The festival would not be possible without the generous time and skills offered by our volunteers. We are always looking for people who want to help! If you are interested in making Smithers Midsummer Festival a success, we would love for you to join the team!

4 hours = day pass (same day)
12 hours = free weekend pass
24 hours = weekend pass + delicious meals
Camping is not provided for our volunteers; a camping pass is $15 per person and $30 per vehicle. Read more about camping and grounds.
If you would like to contribute hours that will go towards a pass, you can assist in pre-festival set-up and post-festival cleanup! Volunteers help prepare the grounds; this involves various tasks that include setting up stages, organizing the grounds, and anything else that needs to get done. Carpentry skills are a definite asset.
There’s also a lot of work to be done on Wednesday and Thursday pre-festival, with the last finishing touches getting done on Friday morning.
